A Day in the Life of a CF

I have been working with Sidekick since the end of July and have gotten into a pretty good routine working as a Clinical Fellow. Here's what a typical day looks like for me:

7:45: I arrive to school, check in, and chat with the wonderful office ladies. I like to get to school a few minutes before my first session starts to make sure all of my materials for the day are ready.

8:00-12:00: During this time, I see the majority of my preschool and CDC students before their naps. One of my favorite things about Sidekick is the 1:1 20 minute model. I love having the ability to see my students individually rather than a group.

12:00-12:30: Lunch time (one of my favorite times of the day)

12:30-2:30: This chunk of time is reserved for my older articulation kiddos. My mornings are hectic with push-in/language sessions, so I have set up my schedule to be less hectic in the afternoons with my older students.

2:30-3:00: I spend the last few minutes of my day at school cleaning up and finishing any notes..

3:00-4:30: Sometimes this hour and a half at the end of my day looks like attending meetings/additional trainings provided by Sidekick, but most days it looks like preparing materials for tomorrow, emailing my CF-mentor with any questions/concerns, and making sure my schedule is ready for the rest of the week.

I am so thankful to be a part of Sidekick and make an impact in the lives of students every day!
