• What services do you provide?

  We provide speech, language, and feeding therapy for children ages birth through 20.

• How do I know if my child needs therapy?

  If you have any concerns about your child’s speech, language, communication, or feeding skills, please call our office to schedule an evaluation. Our office number is 865-693-5622 (Knoxville Clinic).

• What are your hours?

  Our Knoxville clinic is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

• What locations does Sidekick serve?

  We serve children in more than 20 school systems across Tennessee, including Clarksville, Cookeville, Crossville, Clinton City, Knoxville, Greeneville, Johnson City, Kingsport, Nashville, and many more. We also have a clinic located in Knoxville.

• What happens during an evaluation or screening?

  Our evaluations range from brief screenings to more formal assessments to determine if a patient is developing speech and language skills appropriately. Results act as a baseline to measure patient progress and assess whether a patient needs treatment.

• How long will an evaluation take?

  Depending on the client’s age and the type of tests given, the evaluation will take 30 minutes to 2 hours on average.

• Will I get a written report of the evaluation?

  You will receive a written report describing the outcome of the evaluation. The speech pathologist will prepare this report after the evaluation/testing is completed.

• How long can my child receive services?

  The length of service is determined by your child’s needs. We provide individualized treatment plans to help your child achieve their goals.

• Is Sidekick a Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS) vendor?

  Yes, we serve TEIS children from birth to age 4 in our Knoxville clinic.

• Are you in-network with Medicare for adult services?

  Not at this time.
